Tom began his career in global consulting (Hewitt Associates) as an actuary and later joined an ESOP (Nyhart) and became its CEO. As CEO, he acquired actuarial firms throughout the United States in order to expand Nyhart’s presence and capitalize on the S Corporation ESOP status of the firm.

During Nyhart’s sale, he was chairman of the board while also leading the actuarial department at the University of Notre Dame. He has a B.S. in Mathematics from the University of Notre Dame, M.A. in Actuarial Science from Ball State University, Ph.D in Business from Oklahoma State University and is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries. Today he is founder of Stokastique, a consulting firm to ESOPs and serves on a number of ESOP boards including global companies.
