Paul began his career with Deloitte & Touche as a CPA in the firm’s financial services audit practice before transitioning into a 17-year career in investment banking at Deutsche Bank, BofA Securities, and BMO Capital Markets, where he led the U.S. industrial investment banking business. His expertise focused on advising industrial and private equity clients across global M&A and leveraged finance markets.
In 2012, Paul left investment banking to pursue a diverse portfolio of initiatives, including impact investing, CFO service, startup advisory roles, and board leadership in both nonprofit and for-profit organizations. Paul holds a B.A. in Accounting from North Park University and an M.M. in Business from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
Today, he is the Founder and Executive Director of Transform Capital, an innovative nonprofit operating in the community lending space, while also serving as Associate Professor of Business Strategy and Finance at North Park University.
