Senior Research Analyst

Samantha Merman is a Senior Research Investment Analyst on FEG’s Private Equity team, where she conducts investment research and due diligence across venture capital, growth equity, buyout, and secondary investment strategies. She works closely with FEG’s research and portfolio management professionals to evaluate private market opportunities, support portfolio construction decisions, and monitor manager performance and industry developments across the private equity landscape.

 

Prior to joining FEG, Samantha gained experience in private equity and financial services through roles at MiddleGround Capital and Spectrum Financial Alliance. Her work has focused on investment analysis, manager evaluation, market research, and the assessment of private market opportunities. She also monitors fundraising activity, industry trends, and evolving market dynamics to help inform investment recommendations and portfolio positioning.

 

Samantha earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with majors in Finance and Management from the University of Kentucky’s Gatton College of Business. She has successfully completed Levels I and II of the CFA Program and is currently a candidate for Level III. Outside of work, Samantha serves on the Cincinnati Echelon Board of The Salvation Army and enjoys supporting community initiatives and professional development opportunities.
