Sean McChesney

Sean McChesney is a Director of Research at FEG, where he focuses on diversifying strategies and supports investment decision-making across client portfolios. He is responsible for conducting investment research, evaluating investment managers, and identifying opportunities across a broad range of alternative investment strategies. Sean works closely with FEG’s Portfolio Management Team to source ideas, conduct due diligence, and support portfolio construction and manager selection decisions.

Prior to joining FEG, Sean served as a Director at Private Advisors, LLC and Carolinas Investment Consulting, LLC, where he conducted research and advised institutional investors on alternative investment strategies. Earlier in his career, he was an Analyst at Cambridge Associates, LLC, gaining experience in manager research, portfolio analysis, and institutional investment management. His background spans private markets, hedge funds, and other diversifying strategies across the alternative investment landscape.

Sean earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Hampden-Sydney College. Outside of work, Sean enjoys spending time with family and pursuing a variety of personal interests.
