John Overath

John Overath, CFA, CAIA, is an Associate Vice President of Research responsible for sourcing and underwriting both public and private Real Asset opportunities, as well as providing consistent educational insights into Real Asset markets for advisors and clients. John has a background in real estate valuation and advisory services and is a CFA and CAIA Charter holder. A Dallas native, John leads many of the Dallas and Texas-based fund manager relationships. John is also an active member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Parish and enjoys tennis and local Dallas sports.

Prior to joining FEG, John worked for Novogradac & Company and JLL, providing valuation and advisory services to real estate owners, operators, and developers. John graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington in 2017 with a Bachelor of Science in Economics and in 2018 with a Master of Science in Economic Data Analytics.
