Derek Courts

Derek Courts, CFA, serves as an Advisor at FEG where he partners with clients to develop customized investment strategies, long-term portfolio solutions, and governance practices. Derek helps clients establish strategic asset allocations, review and refine investment policies, and monitor portfolios to support their evolving goals and objectives. He brings a thoughtful, relationship-focused approach to client service and portfolio management.

Prior to joining FEG in 2024, Derek was a Senior Manager on the Pension Investment Team at The Kroger Co., where he gained extensive experience in institutional investing and portfolio oversight. With 14 years of industry experience, he has expertise in investment strategy, portfolio management, and client advisory services. Derek is a CFA Charterholder and serves as a member of the Bethesda, Inc. Investment Committee. He is committed to helping organizations navigate complex investment decisions through disciplined analysis, collaborative partnership, and a long-term perspective.
