David is a Senior Vice President at FEG and works directly with some of FEG’s more complex non profit clients. David has over 20 years of experience helping these types of institutions with allocation and policy development and design, board governance and education, as well as manager search and selection.

David was instrumental in initiating and advancing FEG’s efforts with regard to its annual Community Foundation Survey, which is now in its 11th year. He also serves on FEG’s BRIDGE committee and leads FEG’s Weird Ideas Group, which seeks out and initially vets unique and interesting ideas for client portfolios that might otherwise fall in between or outside of traditional research silos. David has also participated in our mentorship program for more than 5 years.

Prior to FEG, David served in various investment advisory capacities with Cardinal Investment Advisors, New Leaf Capital Consulting and Hammond Associates in St. Louis, Missouri. He also was a treasury manager at Entergy Services in New Orleans and a Sales Engineer at Automation Associates in Connecticut.

David received an MSIA (MBA) in Finance & Strategy from Carnegie Mellon University and holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from Lehigh University. He is a founder of the Krewe of Rolling Elvi (a New Orleans Mardi Gras parading organization) and currently sits on the organization’s Mission & Vision Committee.
