David Barcus
Senior Vice President, Head of Investments
David Barcus, CFA, FRM, is Senior Vice President and Head of Investments at FEG Curio Investment Partners, where he works with wealth management firms, private banks, and multi-family offices on investment strategy, portfolio construction, and alternative investment solutions. He partners closely with clients to help build thoughtful, long-term portfolios with a focus on institutional-quality alternative investments.
David brings more than 25 years of investment management experience spanning institutional asset allocation, portfolio management, risk oversight, and manager due diligence. Prior to joining FEG Curio, he served as Managing Director of Investments at Denison University, where he helped oversee the university’s approximately $1.2 billion endowment portfolio. His responsibilities included asset allocation, manager selection, portfolio risk management, investment committee reporting, and oversight of allocations to hedge funds, private equity, and real assets.
Earlier in his career, David spent more than a decade at Amundi Alternative Investments, where he focused on hedge fund manager research and due diligence for institutional alternative investment portfolios. Over the course of his career, he has developed deep experience across hedge funds, private markets, real assets, and other specialized investment strategies.
David enjoys working collaboratively with advisors and clients to develop resilient investment solutions tailored to their long-term objectives. He has spoken at industry conferences on topics including private markets, hedge funds, risk management, and portfolio construction.
David earned a BSBA in Accountancy from Miami University and an MBA in Finance from DePaul University. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and Financial Risk Manager (FRM) designations.
