Christian Busken

Director of Research - Real Assets

Christian Busken is Head of Real Assets Research at FEG. In this role, he focuses on sourcing and monitoring real asset managers within real estate, natural resources, and infrastructure on behalf of FEG’s client base. His responsibilities also include developing and implementing the firm’s real assets investment strategy and working directly with clients to construct real assets portfolios, to deliver differentiated strategies and solutions.

 

Prior to joining FEG in 2002, he worked in client service at Franklin Templeton in San Francisco and Franklin Covey in Salt Lake City. Christian has over 25 years of investment experience and has led the firm’s research effort in real assets since 2007, having spent most of his career in the research group at FEG. He has been a frequent speaker on a wide range of real assets topics at industry conferences and has lectured at the University of Cincinnati.

 

Christian received his BA in International Relations from Brigham Young University and completed a Master’s degree in International Management from the American Graduate School of International Management (Thunderbird). He previously served on the Board of Busken Bakery, Inc. from 2003-2008.

 

Outside of work, he enjoys international travel, hiking, and time with his family.
