Marketing Assistant

Position Summary

Assistant is responsible for providing support for a wide variety of marketing activities including design and development of marketing collateral, sales presentations, website content, branding, and advertising.

Position Responsibilities

  • Client Service: assist in the management of client relationships, including maintaining calendar of deliverables.
  • Presentations: design and execute high-impact visual PowerPoint presentations for new business pitches, financial education, and conferences.
  • Collateral Management: organize and archive marketing collateral. Maintain detailed tracking list, ensuring all materials are current, compliance approved, and accessible on firm websites.
  • Marketing Collateral: produce and develop firm’s marketing collateral. Responsibilities include updating existing content; conveying key points through illustration; content editing; coordinating with internal compliance and marketing teams; and liaising with external printers and graphic designers.
  • Branding: assist all employees to maintain brand consistency by providing assistance on design.
  • Research: prepare background material and market research in support of new business opportunities.
  • Email Marketing: assist in the execution of firm’s electronic mail campaigns.
  • Conferences & Webinars: coordinate and promote client conferences and webinars. Create custom collateral and maintain promotional items inventory. Provide a wide range of support
  • PR: coordinate media slots with external reporters and internal analysts and consultants.
  • Website Editing: edit website graphics and content. Provide general support for firm’s SEO initiative.
  • Sales & Marketing Support: provide various support activities to Sales and Marketing team as needed.

Core Competencies & Qualifications

Personal traits that will best help the associate to successfully perform the essential functions of the job include judgment in decision making; integrity; initiative; dependability; team-orientation; attention to detail; strong organizational skills; and the ability to work independently.

The right candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in business administration with an emphasis in marketing and/or finance preferred. Individuals with degrees in journalism, communications, graphic design and a variety of other fields may be considered as well.

  • One (1) to two (2) years related experience desired.
  • Strong organization and communication skills
  • Familiarity with Microsoft PowerPOint, Word, Excel, and Publisher
  • Strong written and verbal communications
  • Exposure to Adobe PhotoShop, Illustrator, and InDesign preferred
  • Knowledge of website editors (i.e., MS Contribute, Dreamweaver, Wysiwyg), and HTML helpful, but not required.
  • Exposure to email marketing platforms helpful (i.e., ExactTarget, Hubspot)
