Client Service Specialist

Position Summary

Client Service Specialist is to provide day-to-day support to Institutional Consulting client relationships. The position requires coordinating activities with firm operations staff, custodian banks, client staff, investment managers, and resolving various account specific administrative and operational problems. The position reports to the Director of Client Service.

Position Responsibilities

  • Serve as point of contact for consulting relationships at preferred custodians on brokerage-related activities
    • Preparation and execution of rebalancing activities for clients including coordination with clients, custodians, investment managers and FEG operation staff
    • Manage and process client cash needs, private capital calls, coordinating stock gifts and general requests for information
  • Onboard new consulting implementation services clients
  • Assist with the preparation of subscription documents
  • Assist with consulting implementation service projects

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably with a business focus
  • At least two years experience in the investment management industry, with specific client service experience and knowledge of client custody and account management systems
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Understanding of investment terminology
  • Proficient computer skills with ability to learn proprietary software
  • Attention to details, ability to multi-task and meet deadlines

Internal Sales Associate

Position Summary

The Internal Sales Associate is responsible for supporting FEG external sales professionals with the goal of generating new sales and asset growth through relationships with financial advisers affiliated with independent broker dealers, banks, insurance companies and RIAs. The position reports to the Head of Sales and Marketing for FEG.

The FEG Managed Portfolios product suite includes a range of turn-key portfolio solutions constructed with ETF’s and institutional mutual funds along with a dynamic asset allocation overlay. FEG also markets alternative investment solutions including hedge fund of funds. FEG Managed Portfolios are available through various platforms including Envestnet, Schwab, Fidelity, TD Ameritrade, FolioDynamix and independent broker dealers’ proprietary platforms.

Position Responsibilities

Overall support for FEG external sales professionals, including acting as the coordination point with FEG home office functions such as marketing, client service and investment research. Specific responsibilities include the following:

  • Sales prospecting activities including:
    • Outbound calls
    • Prospect profiling and identification
    • Scheduling appointments
    • Mailings
    • E-distribution
  • Maintain and update business development activity in contact data base.
  • Provide marketing materials to FEG salespeople, clients and prospects.
    • Develop sales presentations and proposals working with FEG marketing and sales support team.
    • Provide support for sales and marketing conferences, including marketing materials and logistics. Attend certain conference events.
  • Key point of contact for financial advisers and clients:
    • Respond to inquiries, inbound calls
    • Service related questions
    • Relationship management support
    • Training and educatio

Qualifications

Proven record of sales related accomplishments, including over three years of successful internal financial sales experience.

Investment Marketing Associate

Position Summary

The Investment Marketing Associate position is responsible for researching clients, developing value propositions, and crafting custom presentations to acquire new clients. This position requires the associate to coordinate team members from all levels of the organization, including consultants and sales representatives. Candidate must possess broad investment knowledge, and excellent communication, organization, and project management skills. This position will expose the right candidate to multiple facets in a fast-growing firm and has long-term career opportunities.

Position Responsibilities

  • Research prospective and existing client opportunities, utilizing web searches, database subscriptions, and internal databases.
  • Facilitate information gathering and relationship building with prospective and existing clients.
  • Develop presentation strategy based on client needs and competitive landscape.
    Lead varying teams of Consultants, Consulting Analysts, and Sales and Marketing professionals towards delivering custom and unified message.
  • Schedule and enforce practice sessions, incorporating external consultants and coaches.
  • Create (coordinate the creation of) custom materials for presentations.
  • Collect client feedback, and implement findings into future presentation strategy.
  • Ascertain presentation training needs and co-lead training programs.
  • Interact with clients as needed, and attend relevant client presentations.
  • Report and analyze metrics weekly, including sales pipeline, overall win rates, consultant win rates, industry trends, and achievement of revenue goals. Recommend corrective actions.
  • Apply presentation process to FEG presentations at FEG Investment Forums.
  • Support additional sales and marketing projects as required by the Sales & Marketing team

Investment Marketing Intern

Position Summary

The Investment Marketing Intern is responsible for providing support for a wide variety of marketing activities including client communications, industry research, competitor intelligence, client research, and ROI analyses.

Position Responsibilities

  • RFP Assistance--produce and assist with the management of Requests for Proposals (RFPs)
  • Industry Research—provide industry research reports, detailing asset sizes and characteristics of the industry
  • Competitor Intelligence—research and assess the competitive landscape in both the institutional and the intermediary channels
  • Client Research―prepare background material and market research in support of new business opportunities.
  • ROI Analysis— assist in measuring the profitability of strategic marketing initiatives
  • Sales & Marketing Support―provide various support activities to Sales and Marketing team as needed

 

Core Competencies & Qualifications

  • The right candidate will possess a minimum GPA of 3.5, will be in pursuit of a Bachelor's degree in business administration with an emphasis in finance and/or marketing. Preference will be given to candidates with both.

Research Analyst - Real Assets

Position Summary

Research Analyst – Hedged Strategies is responsible for assisting the Director of Real Assets in conducting investment manager due diligence, client education and support, and analysis of the real assets markets (real estate, natural resources, commodities, etc.).

Position Responsibilities

  • Source, research, and monitor investment managers in the real assets sector – includes writing research reports on recommended managers, providing quarterly reviews on covered managers, and writing memos when managers experience significant organizational, personnel, and portfolio changes.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of education and communication materials, including the quarterly market summary, monthly Research Review, quarterly Private Capital Research Review, quarterly Capital Markets Overview, quarterly Private Opportunities Fund letters, and other presentations.
  • Provide support to consultants, especially with respect to recommended / covered managers and the real assets markets.
  • As a member of the real assets sector team, provide input to the team and IPC with respect to the various real assets categories’ valuations and portfolio positioning, and contribute to general investment discussions, including at weekly research meetings.
  • Contribute to the general investment discussions, including at weekly research meetings.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, CFA designation and/or a MBA
  • 1 plus year's experience in the investment management industry
  • Experienced in Excel and financial modeling / analysis in Excel
  • Detail-oriented, possess excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Takes initiative, strong analytical skills, and passion for investments
