Fund Operations Analyst

Position Summary

The Fund Operations Analyst is responsible for day-to-day proprietary fund operations including report generation, clerical, and administrative work. Assists with special projects as needed.

Position Responsibilities

  • Reconciliation and valuation of monthly estimates (hedge) and final performance reports
  • Handling and processing of new investor documents, wires, capital calls, and distributions
  • Investor relations and secondary point of contact for advisory relationships
  • Assist Sr. Analysts with manager allocations, commitments, and calls
  • Assistance in reporting and communications for board meetings and other internal meetings

Core Competencies & Qualifications

  • 1-3 years’ work experience in investment operations, preferably alternative funds or 3-5 years’ experience in office administration.
  • Associates degree in finance, economics, or a related field preferred
  • Basic knowledge of alternative investment operations (preferred) / office administration (required).
  • Microsoft Office, Excel, and PowerPoint experience required
  • Attention to detail, strong written and verbal communication skills, and strong work ethic required
  • Must be organized and able to multi-task

Internal Sales Associate

Position Summary

The Internal Sales Associate is responsible for supporting FEG external sales professionals with the goal of generating new sales and asset growth through relationships with financial advisers affiliated with independent broker dealers, banks, insurance companies, and RIAs. The position reports to the Head of Sales and Marketing for FEG.

The FEG Managed Portfolios product suite includes a range of turn-key portfolio solutions constructed with ETF’s and institutional mutual funds along with a dynamic asset allocation overlay. FEG also markets alternative investment solutions including hedge fund of funds. FEG Managed Portfolios are available through various platforms including Envestnet, Schwab, Fidelity, TD Ameritrade, FolioDynamix and independent broker dealers’ proprietary platforms.

Position Responsibilities

Overall support for FEG external sales professionals, including acting as the coordination point with FEG home office functions such as marketing, client service and investment research. Specific responsibilities include the following:

  • Sales prospecting activities including:
    • Outbound calls
    • Prospect profiling and identification
    • Scheduling appointments
    • Mailings
    • E-distribution
  • Maintain and update business development activity in contact data base.
  • Provide marketing materials to FEG salespeople, clients and prospects.
    • Develop sales presentations and proposals working with FEG marketing and sales support team.
    • Provide support for sales and marketing conferences, including marketing materials and logistics. Attend certain conference events.
  • Key point of contact for financial advisers and clients:
    • Respond to inquiries, inbound calls
    • Service related questions
    • Relationship management support
    • Training and education

Qualifications

Proven record of sales related accomplishments, including over three years of successful internal financial sales experience.

  • Undergraduate degree
  • Excellent listening, written and verbal communication skills
    • Strong prospecting skills
    • Superior telephone skills including a high comfort level with issue resolution
  • Demonstrated sales and client service skills. Consultative selling experience.
  • Strong knowledge of investment strategies, market trends and competitive landscape.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills. Ability to document and communicate results and project status to others in FEG.

Investment Marketing Analyst

Position Summary

The Investment Marketing Analyst position is responsible for conducting market research, industry analysis, and competitor intelligence to help with FEG’s strategic planning and positioning. This position requires the analyst to lead team members from all levels of the organization, including consultants and sales representatives, to craft custom presentations to acquire new clients. Excellent communication, organization, and project management skills are essential. This position will expose the right candidate to multiple facets in a fast-growing firm and has long-term career opportunities.

Position Responsibilities

  • Research prospective and existing client opportunities, utilizing web searches, database subscriptions, and internal databases.
  • Facilitate information gathering and relationship building with prospective and existing clients.
  • Develop presentation strategy based on client needs and competitive landscape.
  • Lead varying teams of Consultants, Consulting Analysts, and Sales and Marketing professionals towards delivering custom and unified messages.
  • Schedule and enforce practice sessions, incorporating external consultants and coaches.
  • Create (coordinate the creation of) custom materials for presentations.
  • Collect client feedback, and implement findings into future presentation strategy.
  • Ascertain presentation training needs and co-lead training programs.
  • Interact with clients as needed, and attend relevant client presentations.
  • Report and analyze metrics weekly, including sales pipeline, overall win rates, consultant win rates, industry trends, and achievement of revenue goals. Recommend corrective actions.
  • Apply presentation process to FEG presentations at FEG Investment Forums.
  • Support additional sales and marketing projects as required by the Sales & Marketing team

 

Core Competencies & Qualifications

  • B.S. Degree in business, marketing, finance, or communications. M.B.A. or CFA designation preferred.
  • 5-10 years related experience in communications / marketing, preferably in the financial services industry.
  • Project management skills. Ability to delegate.
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills. Demonstrated tact, discretion, and maturity in communicating with upper management.
  • Excellent organization skills.
  • Computer proficiency; strong word processing and productions skills. Relevant programs include MS Power Point, MS Excel, MS Word, and Customer Relationship Management programs (databases).
  • Superior time management skills required. Must be able to work independently under tight deadlines, multi-task, prioritize, and produce high quality work.
  • Presentation development experience strongly preferred.
