Client Development Associate

Position Summary

The Client Development Associate is responsible for creating and developing relationships with non-profit institutions including foundations, endowments, religious organizations, and retirement plans. The core segment of our business, this position helps broaden and expand our work with local and national non-profit organizations. Responsibilities include providing support and working as a member of the client development team along with consultants, identifying new prospecting opportunities, building relationships, marketing development, and maintaining and expanding prospect and contact databases.


Position Responsibilities

As a member of the FEG client development team, collaborate on direct and indirect projects along with assisting consultants in their prospecting needs. Specific responsibilities include the following:


  • Secure request for proposals (RFPs) and help prospects become clients.
  • Source prospective clients directly, including:
    • Prospect profiling and identification, including use of databases and internet tools
    • Schedule and attend appointments
    • Database and internet RFP research
    • Campaigns, mailings, and E-distribution
  • Assist consultants in efforts to source prospective clients.
  • Represent company at industry events, conferences, and sales meetings.
    • Coordinate speaking proposals with FEG marketing, consultants, and client development.
    • Provide support for industry conferences, including marketing materials and logistics. Attend certain conference events.
  • Some travel required.
  • Maintain and update business development activity in CRM contact database, including adding new prospects, segmenting, and documenting activities.

Qualifications

Proven record of prospect discovery, development, and retention, including a passion for the non-profit industry:


  • Undergraduate degree required.
  • 3 plus years experience required.
  • Highest level of integrity, trustworthiness, and ethical standards.
  • Ability to communicate FEG message to individuals or large groups as a representative of the firm.
  • Highly motivated team player seeking opportunity in a growth-oriented environment.
  • Ability to work and think independently to impact successful outcomes.
  • Demonstrated sales, presentation, and prospecting skills.

Client Service Co-Op (Fall and Winter Semesters)

Position Summary

The Client Service Intern is responsible for managing the performance reporting needs for a group of consultant teams. The position requires the ability to identify problems and resolve them accurately and timely, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with investment managers and custodians. The responsibilities include monthly history completion and project work with the consultant teams. The position reports to the Vice President of Client Service.

Position Responsibilities

  • Monthly history completion
  • Completion of industry sectors and asset mixes
  • Identify source of problems and resolve accurately and timely
  • Communicate effectively with investment managers and custodians on issues
  • Database upkeep with investment manager/custodian contact changes
  • Notify consultant teams of investment manager changes
  • Assist consultant teams on projects

Qualifications

  • Current Finance or Accounting Major
  • GPA of at least 3.0
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Basic understanding of investment terminology
  • Proficient computer skills with ability to learn proprietary software
  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines

Financial Analyst

Position Summary

Analyzes financial status of the firm/division(s) by collecting, monitoring, and studying data; recommending actions.

Position Responsibilities

  • Improve financial status of the firm/division(s) by analyzing results, monitoring variances, and identifying trends and forecasts.
  • Assist in preparing annual budget and 3 year plans by analyzing data and meeting with division heads.
  • Maintain and develop various financial models and standard templates distributed for use by all of Finance.
  • Prepare monthly graphs for key performance indicators for senior management.
  • Calculate and record commissions for Intermediary Sales personnel.
  • Prepare financial reports, charts, tables, and other exhibits as requested.
  • Demonstrate appropriate understanding of accounting principles and internal controls.
  • Demonstrate insightful use of financial analysis techniques, tools, and concepts to provide practical counsel to management to drive business results.
  • Protect operations by keeping financial information confidential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. CPA/MBA preferred
  • 6-8 years of experience
  • Extremely strong MS Excel skills; financial modeling expertise
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a challenging fast paced environment
  • Strong presence with ability to interact with Senior Leadership

Intermediate Programmer / Analyst

Position Summary

Intermediate Programmer / Analyst will work in our Information Technology Department assisting in the delivery of software solution to meet our endusers’ data needs. The Analyst will work with the other IT Staff to design and build out systems based on Microsoft’s Back Office Stack. This will include development in Microsoft SQL, SharePoint, Dynamics CRM, Dynamics GP, and other custom .NET and Web based applications.

We're looking for a qualified individual to join our team in providing software development services and support for ongoing internal projects and initiatives. Qualified applicants should possess working knowledge of the .NET frameworks and languages, and as well have some experience with web browser client side technologies (e.g. JavaScript/JQuery).


Position Responsibilities

The primary responsibility of this position will be in the support and development of business systems to enhance data visibility within the firm. The individual will work with key stake holders and assist in documenting any requests identified. The person will also assist in helping endusers resolve general technical problems. This position will work closely within the IT Department to help support all of our internal initiatives.

  • Develop, implement, and troubleshoot software solutions to ensure accurate information.
  • Assist in process, data, and object modeling in a variety of application and system environments.
  • Identify optimization opportunities in the enduser experience.
  • Contribute to systems architecture analysis, design, development, and enhancement.
  • Work proactively alongside the development team to achieve business objectives.
  • Assist in the support of endusers to resolve any outstanding issues.

Qualifications

A strong working knowledge of the concepts and practices of Application Development, client-server design, network architecture, and related tools is required. This position will require 3-6 years of solid work experience in a related field. A bachelor's degree is preferred for this position.

  • Strong technical aptitude and understanding of MS .NET and Java

Private Equity Internship - Fall Semester

Position Summary

FEG is seeking an intern for its private equity research team. The position will support the private equity team in screening and analyzing various private equity funds, analyzing industry data for trends and opportunities, and updating FEG research publications. Strong analytical and communications skills are critical. The position will report to the Director of Private Equity.

Position Responsibilities

  • Work with the private equity team to conduct qualitative and quantitative analysis on private equity funds and/or fund of funds.
    • Support the fund-level performance analysis including performance attribution
    • Monitor recommended funds through financial statement review and performance comparisons.
  • Conduct industry and/or sector research.
  • Assist with other financial modeling.
  • Update research presentations and publications in various forms, including manager research reports, educational presentations, and position pieces for the broader research team, consultants, and clients.

Qualifications

  • Education:  Junior or Senior year of college with a Major in Finance or related field.
  • Required Skills:  Detail-oriented; possess excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills; ability to work independently.
  • Preferred Skills:  Experience with financial modeling is a plus.
