Client Service Internship

Client Service Department

Position Summary

The Client Service Intern is responsible for managing the performance reporting needs for a group of consultant teams. The position requires the ability to identify problems and resolve them accurately and timely, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with investment managers and custodians.  The responsibilities include monthly history completion and project work with the consultant teams.

 
Position Responsibilities
  • Monthly history completion
  • Completion of industry sectors and asset mixes
  • Identify source of problems and resolve accurately and timely
  • Communicate effectively with investment managers and custodians on issues
  • Database upkeep with investment manager/custodian contact changes
  • Notify consultant teams of investment manager changes
  • Assist consultant teams on projects
Qualifications
  • The right candidate will possess a strong academic profile and GPA and will be in pursuit of a Bachelor's degree in business administration with an emphasis in finance or a related field and interest in an investment career
  • The position entails a one or two-semester commitment and the requirement of 40 hours/week
  • Broad understanding of investment strategies and industry
  • Strong analytical and both verbal and written communication skills, as well as a sense of intellectual curiosity, are critical
  • Ability to work independently
  • Demonstrates a high level of integrity, initiative, dependability, and team orientation
  • Proficient computer skills with ability to learn proprietary software

Portfolio Management Internship

Portfolio Management Department

Position Summary

Participate in various functions that support clients of FEG Managed Solutions, including fund operations and various portfolio reporting functions.

 
Position Responsibilities
  • Assist fund operations efforts with calculating various fund details (e.g., performance) and reconciling various fund details with fund administrator(s)
  • Support marketing efforts with performance estimates and required commentary and letters
  • Develop various portfolio reporting tools including exposure and risk reporting as well as performance attribution
  • Become familiar with general workflow management related to implementing various aspects of client portfolios
  • Assist in other activities including support materials for internal meetings and offsite document storage
Qualifications
  • The right candidate will possess a strong academic profile and GPA and will be in pursuit of a Bachelor's degree in business administration with an emphasis in finance or a related field and interest in an investment career
  • Broad understanding of investment strategies and industry

Capital Markets Research Internship

Research Department

Position Summary

Exposure to a myriad of assets classes including: global equity, global fixed income, real assets, and diversifying strategies such as hedge funds.  This experience will derive from dedicated and ad-hoc research performed by the intern with the oversight of SVP, Capital Markets, as well as other member of the firm’s Research team.  Additional work supporting the Research team’s activities and publications will provide experience with numerous asset classes and the needs of institutional investors.

 
Position Responsibilities
  • Ad-hoc research supporting the asset and risk allocation team
  • Dedicated project work for the duration of the internship supporting Research’s needs. Projects have and may involve asset allocation and liquidity studies, custom performance analysis, etc.
  • Attend weekly research meetings and support the management of the meeting
  • Attend and aid in coordination of asset and risk allocation meetings and asset class team meetings
  • Produce ongoing research reporting
  • Participate in investment manager meetings in conjunction with members of the research team and contribute to the analysis of managers
  • Assist in authoring and editing portions of research publications
  • Review, editing, and updating educational research presentations
  • Assist in management of information in FEG’s internal manager database
Qualifications

Receptionist/Administrator - Part Time

Dallas Office

Position Summary

Greet, screen and direct visitors.  Assigns conference rooms, conference calls, and operate telephone system.  Coordinates all shipping and ingoing and outgoing mail.  Maintain front desk day to day operations. Provide administrative and secretarial support to the office.

Position Responsibilities
  • Greet guests with appropriate professionalism, including appearance and hospitable manner
  • Demonstrates effective and professional phone skills 
  • Interacts with FEG associates in a professional manner and respectful manner and addresses diplomatically
  • Manage front desk day to day operations
  • Proof read letters and reports as needed
  • Types and prints letters on letterhead/print envelopes
  • Manage all incoming and outgoing mail
    • Performs mail merges for large mail outs using a contact database
  • Maintain petty cash monies
  • Maintains and update office conference room calendars
    • Set up and clean up after meetings
    • Order and set up lunch for client meetings as needed
  • Schedule courier and reconcile billing with accounting
  • Coordinate all shipping (USPS, UPS, Fed Ex and courier)
  • Complete ad hoc and administrative requests as needed
  • Basic knowledge of all FEG’s departments and how they work individually and together
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1-2 years of experience
  • Experience Multi-line phone system, Microsoft word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint

Global Equity Internship

Research Department

Position Summary

Strong analytical and written communication skills, as well as a sense of intellectual curiosity, are critical.  The internship will gain exposure to a myriad of assets classes including: U.S. equities, developed market equities, emerging market equities, and hedged equity strategies.  The position will also involve interaction with the broader research team at Fund Evaluation Group.

Position Responsiblities 
  • Support the analysis of equity investment managers and strategies as well as the global equity markets
  • Attend investment manager meetings in conjunction with members of the Global Equity team and write summary notes and analysis of meetings
  • Author Global Equity portion of the Capital Markets Insights and Quarterly Market Summary
  • Update educational research presentations
  • Assist in management of information in the FEG’s internal manager database
  • Assist in authoring of monthly Global Equity Research Review
