FEG Named Small Business Excellence Awards Finalist

Company Honored by the Cincinnati Chamber of Commerce

CINCINNATI—June12, 2008—Fund Evaluation Group (FEG) recently was named a Small Business Excellence Awards finalist. The Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber of Commerce awards honor area companies for contributions to the local business community and overall business achievements.

A finalist in the 51-250 employees category, FEG was determined by the chamber to possess five key strengths:

  • a sustainable business plan
  • solid strategic planning
  • strong customer focus
  • demonstrated community involvement
  • impressive financial performance

“It’s certainly an honor to have our business approach, growth and performance validated with this recognition,” says Scott B. Harsh, President & CEO of FEG.

FEG was founded in 1988 by five partners in Cincinnati. Responding to a void in the marketplace, the company focused its efforts on offering objective investment advice geared towards mid-sized institutions. Two decades later, FEG is a leading national provider with 71 employees and approximately $34 billion in assets under advisement. Institutional investors still comprise the majority of FEG’s client base, though today, the company is diversified among financial intermediaries as well as high net worth individuals.

FEG also has expanded service offerings. Beyond strictly providing investment consulting services, the company now offers two additional strategically-aligned services: a FEG/Advisors, an outsourced solution that goes beyond just offering advice and actually maintains discretion of client portfolios; and FEG/Research Solutions, an independent, in-house research team that assists clients primarily in manager selection.

Fueled by a strong entrepreneurial spirit and the success of current complementary services, FEG continues to explore new service offerings and plans for aggressive future growth.
